Are you a driven Depot Manager, Profit Centre Manager, Sales Director, Head of Sales, Operations Manager, MD, GM, based in the northern Home Counties? - Up to £50k basic- £90k+ earnings opportunity. £7700 car allowance, 25 days holiday, attractive pension scheme, Private Health cover.

Our Client:

- This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded multi-million pound turnover, global plastics distributor.

- Selling all types of plastic materials used in a vast amount of manufacturing and OEM applications. Key markets include Signs, Displays, Graphics, POP, POS, Construction & Building, plus engineering sectors.

The Role:

- As Profit Centre Manager, Sales Manager, Depot Manager, you will be managing the full P&L of this highly regarded Plastics distributor, you'll be managing 15 people, from admin, to warehouse staff, internal sales people and a field sales representative.

- Our client provides plastic products used in all types of applications, from packaging, to signage, to hoardings, to conveyor belts.

- Products include acrylic sheets, engineering type plastics, plastics for signage, pvc, tapes and fixings, aluminium composite, adhesives and glues, sealants and tapes.

- With a sales ledger of over 1000 customers, you will be driving business opportunities with sign makers, wide format and flatbed digital print companies, screen print companies, Point of Sale and Point of Purchase manufacturers, designers, stationary and packaging manufacturers, plastics used in construction for guttering, rain screen framing, cladding solutions, Design and Build contractors, design engineers in industry- the market potential is massive.

- As Profit Centre Manager, Sales Manager, Depot Manager, you will look at the business strategically, as it has potential to quickly grow to a £6 million+ turnover and 30+ employees. At that point, trusting that you're making the right margins, you'll be earning a six figure salary.

- You will drive improved efficiency, as well as sales and operational performance. You will support, train and direct your internal sales people to up-sell, cross sell and target new business, both over the phone and at times face to face.

- Supported by an excellent senior management team, this is like running your own business, without your own financial outlay and risk.

- As a business, they also offer a bespoke cutting service, so you must be commercially switched on to calculate the added time and cost of that service and therefore add the appropriate margin, to drive profitability.


The Successful Candidate:

- The successful Profit Centre Manager, Sales Manager, Depot Manager will understand how to run a LEAN business. You must be sales led, an inspiring character, able to create an energy and passion within your business. A leader.

- You will ideally have P&L experience, with a sharp commercial mind and the ability to trade and at times forward hedge, as you are buying an oil based product that fluctuates in price. You will have access to 25-30 manufacturers of acrylic sheet across Europe and you have licence to buy from any, so the ability to negotiate.

- You will be a strategist, always looking at ways to increase market penetration, margins, brand awareness and customer satisfaction.

- You'll have a mix of operational experience, sales management experience, health and safety and HR.

- Previous experience in construction, manufacturing or plastics is advantageous, but not essential. You must have sold a tangible product rather than a service.

- You'll be a great people person.

The Remuneration Package:

- Basic salary- £40k- £50k

- Profit related pay, totally controlled by you, giving a realistic OTE in Year 1 of £80,000- £90,000

- Car allowance of £7700 per annum

- 25 days holiday, plus Bank holidays, rising with service

- Private health cover
