Overview

Are you an experienced business development manager / area sales manager? Do you sell in to main contractors, electrical contractors, facilities management or the general commercial & industrial world? Up to £38k basic, 25% bonus on top, company car & a stable brand!

Our Client:

– This is an exciting opportunity to join the most highly regarded, multi-billion pound turnover brand in the electrical industry.

– Selling all types of electrical products used in the construction industry: lighting, wiring, controls, heating and ventilation.

– Massive scope to grow within the business as my client has hundreds of locations around the UK.

The Role:

– Covering Kent & Sussex, you will be selling our client’s full range of electrical components in to large private facilities management companies, the likes of CBRE, JLL, Mite, etc…

– You’ll be account managing and developing a portfolio of about 80 live trading accounts, half of which are regularly spending. Using your relationship building skills, you’ll look to upsell and develop the accounts. Typically conducting 5-7 quality face to face calls per day.

– Order values can range from a few pounds, to tens of thousands of pounds for say a commercial building fit out or the refurbishment of a large property.

– You will covering a large network of branches in Kent & Sussex, which includes Ashford, Canterbury, Folkestone, Gillingham, Gravesend, Maidstone, Rochester, Sevenoaks, and Tunbridge Wells, Brighton, Crawley, East Grinstead, Eastbourne. You will liaise with the internal sales team, trade counter staff, and branch manager to know what’s going on in your area.

The Successful Candidate:

– You will have a successful track record of sales success within facilities management, ideally in the construction industry.
– Sales experience in BMS, BEMS, Control solutions, lighting, HVAC, IOT, Smart Buildings, or Building Automation would be beneficial, although excellent training is offered.

– You will have sold to facilities management firms or M&E contractors and an ability to deal at all levels.

– You will be organised, professional, a good team player, IT literate, wanting a long term career with a highly regarded organisation in the electrical wholesale / construction industry.

– You will be a good relationship builder, with account management experience.

The Remuneration Package:

– Basic salary of £32,000- £38,000 (dependent on experience)

– 25% bonus on top (paid quarterly). This is made up of 5% per quarter with an extra 5% as an end-of-year bonus.

– VW Passat or VW Golf company car.

– 25 days holiday, plus Bank holidays, rising with service.

– Private health cover which includes dental & pension scheme.

– Company discount on electrical products sold in the branch.
