Are you an experienced key account manager from within the lighting / electrical industry? Do you sell in to M&E contractors, main contractors, electrical contractors, facilities management or the general commercial & industrial world? Up to £50k basic, 25% bonus on top, company car & a stable brand!

Our Client:

– This is an exciting opportunity to join the most highly regarded, multi-billion pound turnover brand in the electrical industry.

– Selling all types of electrical products used in the construction industry: lighting, conduit, wiring, controls, heating and ventilation.

– Massive scope to grow within the business as my client has hundreds of locations around the UK.

The Role:

– Covering London and the Southeast, you will be selling our client’s full range of electrical components in to large M&E contractors, large building contractors, national house builders, national facilities management companies, major hotel chains and the hospitality.

– You’ll be account managing and developing a portfolio of about 100 live trading accounts, half of which are in the M&E world. Using your relationship building skills, you’ll look to upsell and develop the accounts. Typically conducting 4-6 quality face to face calls per day.

– Order values can range from a few pounds, to tens of thousands of pounds for say a commercial building fit out or the refurbishment of a large property.

– You will visit the branches on your patch occasionally to liaise with the internal sales team, trade counter staff, and branch manager to know what’s going on in your area.

The Successful Candidate:

– You will have a successful track record of key account management or sales success, ideally in the lighting / electrical industry, however my client is open on background so long as it’s within the construction industry generally.

– You will have sold to M&E contractors, main contractors, national house builders and have an ability to deal at all levels.

– You will be organised, professional, a good team player, IT literate, wanting a long term career with a highly regarded organisation in the electrical wholesale / construction industry.

– You will be a good relationship builder, and able to deal with everyone from procurement managers to site labourers.

The Remuneration Package:

– Basic salary of £45k-£50k (dependent on experience)

– 25% bonus on top (paid quarterly). This is made up of 5% per quarter with an extra 5% as an end-of-year bonus.

– VW Passat or VW Golf type company car.

– 25 days holiday, plus Bank holidays, rising with service.

– Private health cover which includes dental & pension scheme.

– Company discount on electrical products sold in the branch.
