Shipping Controller wanted for an expanding stationary Distributor

Salary: up to £34k DOE

Location: North London

My Client is looking for a shipping controller to to undertake all administration duties, to prepare accurate and efficient shipping documentation to ensure a seamless transition of goods from our client to their customers and through their supply chain.

Job Responsibilities:

* Check and confirm FOB shipment booking procedure with customer as needed
* Handling FOB orders and the paperwork and customer hand holding on complex orders.
* Support our team of Key Account managers and Managing Director – with their FOB
orders, ensuring paperwork coordination runs smoothly, whilst liaising with the
customer and suppliers
* Prepare any special carton marking requirements and liaise with customer and printer
for approvals
* Liaise with printer for packing list data and prepare commercial invoices
* Check Bill of Lading details with customer and advise printer
* Inform printer of freight forwarder details for them to book shipment according to
customer delivery date
* Book shipment directly via online and liaise with printer and upload final shipping
docs
* Provide customers and Meredith will all shipping docs
* Provide customer with production photos as requested
* Maintain a shipping data spreadsheet of carton dimensions, weights, CBMs; qty per
container, etc.

Experience required:

* 2 years in a shipping role would be highly advantageous.
* Assertive, resilient and a proactive mindset
* Self-motivated and results orientated, flexible and works well under pressure
* Microsoft Office – Excel and Word
* Able to work at pace and process quickly but accurately with the ability to
multitask
* Excellent analytical and organizational skills
* Strong mathematical skills
* Ability to work using own initiative
