The Role

Our client is now recruiting an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their team at one of their key facilities in the Northwest of England. This is a standalone, on-site position offering a high degree of autonomy, ideal for a self-starting professional who enjoys ownership of their function.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day purchasing of laundry consumables including chemicals, packaging and sundries required to keep the operation running efficiently. You’ll work closely with local site management and suppliers to ensure timely procurement, cost control and stock availability.

Key Responsibilities:

Take full ownership of the purchasing function for the site

Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing and contracts

Monitor stock levels and manage reordering schedules

Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations

Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement processes

Support site management with budgeting and forecasting

The Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role

Self-motivated, organised and confident working independently

Background in manufacturing, industrial services or FMCG preferred

Strong negotiation and supplier management skills

Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
