Are you an experienced business development manager / area sales manager? Do you sell in to main contractors, electrical contractors, facilities management or the general commercial & industrial world? Up to £35k basic, 25% bonus on top, company car & a stable brand!

Our Client:

– This is an exciting opportunity to join the most highly regarded, multi-billion pound turnover brand in the electrical industry.

– Selling all types of electrical products used in the construction industry: lighting, wiring, controls, heating and ventilation.

– Massive scope to grow within the business as my client has hundreds of locations around the UK.

The Role:
– Covering the Croydon area, you will be selling our client’s full range of electrical components in to large building contractors, house builders, shop fitters, hotels, offices, hospitals, schools, M&E contractors, and facilities management companies.

– You’ll be account managing and developing a portfolio of about 120 live trading accounts, half of which are regularly spending. Using your relationship building skills, you’ll look to upsell and develop the accounts. Typically conducting 5-7 quality face to face calls per day.

– Order values can range from a few pounds, to tens of thousands of pounds for say a commercial building fit out or the refurbishment of a large property.

– You will be required to visit the Croydon branch once a week to liaise with the internal sales team, trade counter staff, and branch manager to know what’s going on in your area.

The Successful Candidate:

– You will have a successful track record of sales success, ideally in the construction industry.

– You will have sold to SME contractors, builders, up to major contractors and have an ability to deal at all levels.

– You will be organised, professional, a good team player, IT literate, wanting a long term career with a highly regarded organisation in the electrical wholesale / construction industry.

– You will be a good relationship builder, with account management experience.

The Remuneration Package:

– Basic salary of £30,000- £35,000 (dependent on experience)

– 25% bonus on top (paid quarterly). This is made up of 5% per quarter with an extra 5% as an end-of-year bonus.

– VW Passat or VW Golf company car

– 25 days holiday, plus Bank holidays, rising with service.
