Film Screen Programmer wanted for an International Hospitality business

Location: West London/ WFH

Salary: £32-£42k

Excellent opportunity for a knowable Film Programmer/Expert to join this successful team, to support the growth of International Films.

This role will have a specific focus on growing performance on International Film, including (but not limited to) South Asian, Polish and Chinese language releases.
Alongside leading the strategy and implementation of International Film, this role will also support the Screen Content team in our core responsibility of optimising and delivering the weekly film schedule across our UK&I cinemas.

KEY ACCOUNTABILTIES

International Film Strategy
* Lead the programming strategy for International Film (films not in the English language)
* Liaise with film distributors to source content and negotiate commercially viable terms
for the business.
* Forecast film performance to optimise the proportion of the schedule dedicated to each
release
* Analyse short- and long-term box office results to continually improve performance

Scheduling and Dating
* Sole responsibility for the weekly scheduling of multiple screens
* Understand and interpret weekly film schedules with the aim of maximising revenue in each
of the locations.
* Fluently and compellingly communicate and negotiate the weekly schedules with film
distributors
* Review box office results and apply learnings to future scheduling of film content

Forecasting

* Use appropriate film knowledge to identify comparison titles to inform forecasts of
revenue through attending film screenings, assessing trailers and any other relevant data
points
* Maintain high accuracy at managing the administrative setup of films, including
invoicing, pricing and a smooth customer booking journey
* Ensure that all key film information is correct and delivered on time to the film team
and cinemas (including digital keys and print delivery)

Candidate Profile;

Technical Knowledge & Experience

* Able to juggle and prioritise responsibilities in an often fast paced and demanding
environment
* Expertise in, and passion for, films outside of the English language (knowledge of South
Asian film would be of particular benefit)
* Exceptional film knowledge and/or film school degree
* Commercial understanding of how a successful multi site business operates and its key
drivers
* Exceptional attention to detail and a logical mindset
* Experience of managing external commercial relations
* Experience in commercial buying role (preferably media)
* Experience with excel-based analysis and financial calculations.
* IT Skills: High level IT Skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
