Overview

THE COMPANY

My client is a successful, well-established distributor of construction materials. They are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager/ Senior Sales Executive with experience in selling within the construction industry, to sell their range of products to Contractors, house builders and local authorities.

THE ROLE

To maximise growth of sales within a defined territory
Managing a ledger of existing accounts, developing relationships with customers to maintain and improve profitability
Building relationships, acquiring a thorough understanding of customers’ needs and requirements
Offering product advice and support
Ensuring high levels of customer service at all times.

KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Previous proven sales experience gained within the construction industry in an external sales role
Exceptional sales and customer relationship building skills at all levels
Strong negotiation and facilitation experience with problem solving ability
Ability to identify and understand business opportunities and build long term relationships with customers
Proven experience in price negotiation at all levels
Full UK driving licence essential
