THE COMPANY

My client is a well-established distributor of construction materials. They are looking for an ambitious Sales Executive with experience in selling within the construction industry, to manage the acquisition and development of new accounts in the Oxfordshire area.

THE ROLE

Driving sales opportunities to maximise growth of sales within a defined territory
Wining new business and reinvigorating lapsed and dormant accounts
Following leads and building relationships, acquiring a thorough understanding of customers’ needs and requirements
Identifying potential new customers and forging new relationships
Offering product advice and support
Ensuring high levels of customer service at all times to ensure repeat business.
Negotiating terms in line with company guidelines

KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Previous proven sales experience gained within the construction industry in a customer facing sales role
Exceptional sales and customer relationship building skills at all levels
Strong negotiation and facilitation experience with problem solving ability
Ability to identify and understand business opportunities and build long term relationships
Proven experience in price negotiation at all levels
Excellent numeracy and problem solving capabilities
Full UK driving licence essential
