Would you like to build your career within a high-growth physical gold and silver business with more than £150 million in revenue?

We are recruiting a Service & Operations Executive to join an established and highly successful precious-metals brokerage based in Central London.

Operating for more than 20 years, the business has developed an excellent reputation within its market and has been featured in publications including the Financial Times, Reuters, Wall Street Journal and CNBC.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organised, numerically confident and genuinely strong with Excel to join a growing business where accuracy, analytical thinking and attention to detail really matter.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you’ll take responsibility for a range of important operational processes, initially focusing on:

Procurement and supplier orders
Stock control and reconciliation
Client buybacks
Operational reporting and analysis
Order and transaction accuracy
You’ll work alongside an experienced Service & Operations Executive while developing a detailed understanding of the company’s products, systems and wider operations.

This is not simply an administrative position. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers and detailed datasets, spotting discrepancies, investigating why something doesn’t reconcile and taking ownership until the issue is resolved.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

You’ll be responsible for:

Processing and tracking procurement orders and deliveries.
Completing regular stock checks and reconciling information across Salesforce, internal systems and third-party records.
Investigating discrepancies and ensuring issues are resolved or escalated appropriately.
Supporting client precious-metal buybacks, checking products, quantities, weights and supporting information.
Producing and maintaining Excel reports, trackers and exception analysis.
Checking product costs, premiums and supplier orders.
Maintaining accurate and audit-ready supplier documentation.
Supporting client orders, fulfilment queries and operational handovers.
Liaising with suppliers, vaults, logistics partners and internal teams.
Identifying opportunities to improve operational processes, reporting and systems.
As the business continues to grow, you’ll also have the opportunity to broaden your responsibilities and gain exposure to other areas of operations.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You don’t necessarily need previous precious-metals experience.

We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience involving reconciliations, stock, procurement, transactions, order management, finance operations, inventory or detailed operational reporting.

You’ll need:

Strong Excel skills – including pivot tables and formulas
Excellent numerical and analytical ability
Exceptional attention to detail
Experience reconciling data and investigating discrepancies
Strong organisational and time-management skills
The ability to take ownership and follow issues through to completion
Confidence working with detailed datasets
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A proactive, collaborative approach
Experience with Salesforce, inventory, purchasing or order-management systems would be advantageous.

Experience within precious metals, commodities, financial services, investments or another high-value product environment would also be particularly interesting, but isn’t essential.

WHY JOIN?

You’ll be joining a successful, ambitious business operating within the fascinating world of physical gold and silver.

The company offers a genuinely non-corporate environment where people are encouraged to contribute ideas, improve processes and develop their careers.

The package includes:

£30,000-£32,000 salary DOE
Hybrid working – 3 days Central London / 2 days remote
Matched pension contribution up to 6%
25 days’ holiday + bank holidays
Additional day off for your birthday
Private Medical Insurance
Health Cashback Plan
Ongoing training, coaching and career development
External speakers and company training days
Discounted gym membership
Electric vehicle leasing scheme
Cycle to Work scheme
Generous family leave policies
